Biography
Dr. Ozmen is a breast surgical oncologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. He graduated from Istanbul University, Istanbul Medical Faculty in 2007. He completed his first surgery residency in 2013 at Marmara University School of Medicine. After working for a few years in the same institution as a faculty member, he completed a Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Surgical Oncology Department, in 2018. He completed his second surgery residency at the same institution in 2022 and has been working since then at Mass General. He has conducted many award-winning breast cancer studies, which were published in well-known journals, and has worked as an associate editor in breast cancer textbooks. He also serves as an associate editor and editorial board member for respected journals in the field. His areas of research are breast cancer-related lymphedema and the application of AI in breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. He speaks nationally and internationally on breast cancer and serves on several professional societies.
